COVID Updates
Mask Mandate Removed
February 28
2022
As of February 28th, the mask mandate will be lifted in Saskatchewan. Masks will no longer be
required for dancers at any time inside the building. We will however, continue to be mask friendly, and anyone who wishes to continue wearing one may do so.
Dancers WILL NOT be wearing masks while on stage at our upcoming competitions. If you as a parent are
uncomfortable and wish for your dancer to wear a mask, then you MUST purchase your own “ivory/skin tone” mask.
STUDIO PROTOCOLS REMAIN AS FOLOWS:

Everyone must continue to hand sanitize upon entry or exit of the building & studio spaces.

The Waiting Room Lobby will be CLOSED to PARENTS as we maintain limited numbers in the building.

Dancers able to be unsupervised will be allowed to stay in the waiting room for their breaks between classes.

Dancers must arrive dressed & ready for class, NO change area will be available.
-
Washrooms are available for dancers use only when necessary, but not available for changing.

Dancers must arrive NO more than 5 mins before class time; parents arrive during last 5 mins for pick-up:

Ages 5 & under - one parent/guardian per family may enter the building for drop off & pick up of dancer(s)

Ages 6 & over - drop-and-go policy, parent & child meeting outside the building.

All belongings (Coats & Bags) must be placed in a waiting room cubby, outdoor shoes must be placed on the boot racks to keep the entrance clear.

Dancers must bring their own labelled, filled water bottle - the water fountain will NOT be available for use.
Self Isolation Requirements

New Self Isolation Requirements for students has been announced effective January 5, 2022.
Please follow these guidelines if your child is notified of being a close contact or develops symptoms themselves, everyone should take all precautions as advised by Public Health and follow all reasonable measures to reduce the risk of infecting others.

Potential exposures will be communicated to the studio when applicable and we will work on notifying affected classes. If you are notified by your school or the studio of a potential exposure follow the guidelines provided, paying close attention to the rules regarding attending extra curricular activities which includes attending dance class.
*If your dancer is required to self-isolate please submit absence notices in the Parent Portal to identify they are self-isolating and the applicable return date for your teacher(s).

In response to the recent SHA announcement, the following NEW COVID Protocols are effective immediately and will remain in place at the studio until further notice.
Our Studio Safety Plan has been updated to reflect these changes and can be found below, or available on our News & Info page.

CHANGES include the following:

Masks will now be REQUIRED for all dancers & staff when entering or exiting the building.

For individuals under 18yrs, masks will remain optional while engaged in physical activity during their dance class.

Everyone must continue to hand sanitize upon entry or exit of the building & studio spaces.

The health and safety of the dancers and staff at Dance Plus continues to be top of mind. Safety protocols remain in place where we see fit. We know that regulations can be constantly changing, and we will continue to implement any additional measures required in our commitment to following the guidelines.
